Julie Pemberton leads the Enterprise Risk & Insurance Management practice for Coinstar Inc. Founded in 1992, Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSTR) is a leading provider of automated retail solutions offering convenient services that make life easier for consumers and drive incremental traffic and revenue for retailers. The company's core automated retail businesses include the well-known redbox® self-service DVD rental and Cointstar® self-service coin-counting brands. With annual revenue in excess of $2 billion, Coinstar has been repeatedly named as one of Fortune 100’s fastest growing companies in recent years, having posted an annualized growth in revenue and earnings per share at an amazing pace. The company has international business presence in the US, Europe, Mexico and Canada.

Ms. Pemberton, a graduate of Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky, began her career with a regional telecommunications company, and later served in a client consulting role with Aon Risk Services, where she managed several risk management accounts. She joined Chiquita Brands International, Inc. as its risk analyst in 2000. She later led the design and launch of Chiquita's global enterprise risk management initiative and assumed leadership of the consolidated enterprise and insurance risk management department. Ms. Pemberton joined Coinstar, Inc. in September, 2011 as the company’s Enterprise Risk and Insurance Management leader.

Ms. Pemberton earned her Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 2002 from the Insurance Institute of America. She has been an active member of the RIMS since 2000 and served on its Enterprise Risk Development Committee from 2006-2009. She was appointed to the RIMS Board of Directors in 2010 and continues to serve in that role today. She has been board liaison for the Marketing, Communications, and Publications staff, served as a member of the Finance Committee, and currently serves as board liaison for the Conference Programming Committee. She is a frequent speaker at various conferences and educational forums targeted toward enterprise risk management process design / leadership and she has also presented for women’s professional leadership forums.

Carol Fox, ARM, is director of strategic and enterprise risk practice for RIMS, a global not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing risk management for organizational success. Previously, she was senior director of risk management at Convergys Corporation. A graduate of Miami University, she serves on its Center for Business Excellence advisory board. A speaker, author and contributor to numerous published risk management white papers, Fox is the U.S. Technical Advisory Group’s vice chair for the ISO 31000 implementation project. She is a recipient of RIMS’ prestigious Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award and Treasury & Risk named her as one of its 2011 100 Most Influential People in Finance.
