Topic: The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act - What It Means To Your Company

The Dodd Frank Act is the greatest financial overhaul in many decades. The repeal of Regulation Q, which was effective July 2011, is expected to have long-term implications for both banks and corporates.  In this session we will review the major changes in the Dodd Frank Act focusing on those impacting business deposits. We will also discuss banks' strategies to Regulation Q repeal and determine corporates' most effective strategy to best meet their working capital and liquidity needs in light of the changing regulatory landscape.           

Speaker: Mohamed Siraj, Vice President/Senior Product Manager, Fifth Third Bank

Mohamed Siraj is Commercial Deposit and Liquidity Senior Product Manager for Fifth Third's Treasury Management Group.  In this role, Mr. Siraj manages Sweeps, Escrow Manager, ZBA and Account services, and commercial deposits for commercial accounts.  He is also responsible for new product innovation and rates management.

Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank in 2009, Mr. Siraj was Strategic Financial Officer at SunTrust Bank and head of SunTrust BankCard Finance.  His career includes 12 years in the financial services industry.  Mr. Siraj earned both his MBA and MSA from the University of Central Florida.
