Rick Kaglic will give a presentation on the most recent economic, labor market, and financial market indicators and conditions. He will also discuss the fundamentals that drive economic activity and what those indicators may portend for future growth.
Wilmer Jones will also lead us on a tour of the entire cash function at the Fed, from receipt of currency from depositing institutions to the verification of that currency. Mr. Jones will explain the process used to put money into circulation and take it out of circulation.

Rick Kaglic is Vice President and Senior Regional Officer at the Cincinnati Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, a role he took on in 2018. In this position, Rick is responsible for managing the branch, developing and maintaining relationships with key business and community leaders in Southern Ohio and Western Kentucky, analyzing regional economic conditions and developments in the region, and educating the region's diverse constituents on the role of the Federal Reserve and its District Banks.
Prior to joining the Cleveland Fed, Rick was the Senior Regional Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond responsible for analyzing regional economic conditions and developments in the Carolinas. Mr. Kaglic also served as a Senior Economist for Eaton Corporation, a diversified manufacturing firm headquartered in Cleveland, OH; as Chief Economist for the Washington State Employment Security Department; and spent eleven years as Senior Business Economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Rick is a graduate of Leadership North Carolina Class 23 and has served in leadership roles in the Chicago and Cleveland Associations for Business Economics and provided economic analysis for Governor’s Economic Advisory Councils in four states.
He completed both his undergraduate and graduate work at Youngstown State University with specializations in regional and urban economics.
Wilmer Jones has worked in the cash department for 37 years and his experience spans all aspects of the cash function at the CFRB, including Food Stamp Teller, Coin Teller, Receiving Teller, Paying Teller and High Speed Ops. He has been conducting tours of the cash function for over 30 years. In 2016, Mr. Jones received the "Chris Moore Spirit of Innovation Award" for developing a depositing institution tour program.
